By using quizzing.top (BandPass Academy) you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. Study material, not official material

BandPass Academy publishes original teaching material for people preparing for US amateur radio licence examinations. The questions on this site are written for teaching purposes. They are not the official examination questions, and they are not a copy of any question pool published by the NCVEC or by any other body. Passing every unit on this site does not guarantee a pass in a real examination, and no result on this site has any standing with the FCC or with any volunteer examiner.

2. Accuracy and no warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. Radio regulation, band plans and technical standards change. We work to keep the units current and we correct errors when they are reported, but we do not warrant that any page reflects the current state of the law or of any published band plan. Before relying on anything here for a licence examination, an installation decision or an interference question, check the current text of 47 CFR Part 97 and the relevant FCC guidance.

3. Not legal advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship. Questions about your own station, your licence status, covenants, land use or enforcement action should be put to the FCC or to a qualified lawyer.

4. RF safety

Some units discuss RF exposure limits and antenna safety. Those units are informational. The safe distance for a real installation depends on frequency, power, feed line loss, antenna gain, duty cycle and who can get near the antenna. Do your own evaluation against the FCC's OET Bulletin 65 using the actual parameters of your station, and never work on an antenna that can be energised.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape the site at a rate that degrades service for other readers;
  • attempt to gain access to administrative areas, or probe, scan or test the site's security;
  • frame the site, mirror it wholesale, or present its content as your own;
  • remove or obscure attribution when you reuse material under clause 7;
  • use the site in breach of any applicable law.

6. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or remove any part of the site, including individual study units, at any time and without notice. Units are published on a schedule; nothing on the site promises that a future unit will appear on a particular date.

7. Intellectual property and reuse

The text, diagrams, page design and code of this site are protected by copyright and remain the property of BandPass Academy. You may:

  • read, print and share pages for your own study;
  • link to any page from a website, forum or study group;
  • quote short extracts for teaching, review or news reporting, with a link back to the page quoted;
  • use whole units in a club class or a free study pack, provided the material is not sold and the source is credited with a link to quizzing.top.

You may not republish substantial parts of the site commercially, or resell the material, without written permission. Requests go to [email protected].

8. Third-party links and advertising

The site contains links to third-party sites and displays third-party advertising. We do not control those sites or the advertisements and are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BandPass Academy and the people who write it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of exam fees, licence privileges, equipment or data, arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
